looks like we have another occasion where shower activity has pepped up a little more that first though. And apparently heard fergie (IF) has said westwards progression that shown on currently modelling...

If you knew me you would no I'm always the optimist , and the optimism that's in me is looking at the radar and seeing the area of snow not only heading our way but building and back building with a little band behind it growing and the band growing to the northern side of it toward Stoke ! Maybe we will get a battering and all the models are wrong LOLA ! Back in the day they was , just not anymore :(

Just had e mail update from met office flash up on my phone warning of snow more inland to cover east Midlands. The warning was over the far east earlier.

oh i love what you are saying! also note MO just extended warning showing westwards progression at 8.08pm! I'll have my hair cut at yours next fella - remember?

This is all rather good, light covering already. Good direction from the Wash too.

Starting to whiten up the place, very nice surprise this is :-D

Yup same here a very thin covering. Not sure if it would last over the next few days even if we get a couple of cms. Bbc had temps of 4c tomorrow

i see the met just put out warning for snow tonight for our area.

It's funny that yet again the models were not quite right with regards to snow. It has came more west than forecast, and the warning was essentially updated only as it happened. 

It's what I love about winter, so many surprises whether they be good or bad. Certainly keeps you on your toes.

That's what I'm hoping for and in looking at the radar... It may just happen :D

Snow....but very very light......taking ages for each flake to hit the ground...!!

indeed. subtle changes in wind direction have helped us here i think. fingers crossed the precipitation doesn't decay
