Don't keep if you guys have seen these.

Those charts are wrong, it's already further east than that. Could well drag colder air over us, producing a hefty amount of snow.

Could equally drag milder air into it, giving lots of rain.

Could also miss us all together

1 in 3 chance of snow tonight. Not bad odds, right?

I think you are in the sweet spot air should be dragged in from the East once the low passes by..... should help keep temps low

Why are we in an amber warning??? Bugga all here in leyland http://news.sky.com/story/1417013/thundersnow-storms-as-icy-blast-hits-uk

No amber on MetO though.. maybe it's the temperature threshold warning?

Not too sure. The temperatures right now are holding up, just about. I think if they can keep hovering around the 0-2C mark, we should be good.

Yup heavy rain here now. I doubt South Manchester or anywhere near the coast will do well from this polar low but other places could be amazing, why does it always have to be so damn marginal?

Always amazes me Stockport gets heavy snow yet down the road I get rain.  :nonono:

Absolutely belting it down now... it almost looks very foggy out there.

unlikely the temperature threshold does not get us below freezing, and they very rarely issue amber for 0C, its likely to be for the potential snow amount tonight.

We are getting the snow, but it just melts on impact, even home in brum they've had a lot more! Elevation being the key
