Now that's blunt!

Now that's blunt!

Fair point, just didn't want to derail the discussion unnecessarily.

Looking on the very latest radar returns, when the bands approach around say the North of Luton area it looks like there heading on more of a southern track. The winds are to the sw into the Midlands .

A very decent covering here now. Still snowing, wasn't expecting this much. In fact this is more than we had in 2010 which managed to largely miss West Norfolk!

Ha, yes, but Dec 2009 was a total bonanza so can't complain.

For some reason I can't access the 2100 returns

Think it might miss.

Right now, it looks like the first 'chunk' will pass just to the West of me (Red dot in central London) but it is building, so only time will tell, meanwhile more intense showers building North of Easy Anglia and more action North of The Wash.

It is a case of radar watching, but looking decent right now in my opinion. (All I really want is to have an hour of moderate snow falling, not too much to ask is it??  :unsure2:  )

(EDIT: The 21:15 still shows it moving SW, but not diminishing)

Looks like little bit of heavier precip heading down the M1 corridor in London in the next hour, places like Hendon and Hampstead may get a covering.
