Evening All,

just popped out to deliver a parent to a 'do' and was sprayed liberally by a gritter so Southend council are taking no chances tonight.

cheers

After all the talk the other day about is it or is it not a cold spell it was great to see the much colder

uppers do the business today with max temps just below +2c.

Slightly milder tomorrow and wednesday before the colder uppers and hopefully snow move in again.

Just popping up the Dutch radar.

Hopefully will come in useful in the next day or two, as the flow turns towards the NE.

Down on the coast (Kent/Sussex border) for a couple of days and hoping to see some action.

Tom.

Brilliant. For the third time since this "cold spell" started I'm too far East. BBC forecasting slightly less cold air tomorrow turning showers to rain/sleet during the day. Nigh on impossible to get any cold air advected into the UK, it seems

The snow has missed me in every direction so far! And watching the radar hoping this lot will hit me, but seems to be drifting to far to the west now!

Spent half an hour looking for snow in the models and missed it falling outside my front door. I think the kidz call that an epic fail.

Appears to me that the western side of the blob/band is heading SSW but the eastern half is a direct southerly flow... Any thoughts why that be?

So far this cold spell, I've been too far East, too Far West and too far South. May as well throw a channel low into the mix so I can be too far North too. LOL!

Hello all, just thought I'd introduce myself. I read this thread a lot and although I am purely an interested amateur I've learned a lot from you all. I love snow! I first joined this forum two years ago during the jan 2013 snow event. Despite breaking my leg slipping on the snow during that I'm still an ardent snow lover and although we had a short spell and a cm or so on Saturday morning I am more than ready for a huge deluge of the stuff. Can't decide if I'm hopeful for an event this week or giving up and thinking about spring! MetO says I'm in for some light snow in the early hours...... Fingers crossed!

Correct it is more on a southerly course unsure about directly S.
