Flurries have stopped here and the drip-drip has begun.  I so miss the 80s when lying snow would actually hang around for a couple of weeks....

I don't really post on here anymore since I received a heated reply to an innocent comment a couple of years ago. Snow, or rather lack of it, can cause some people on here to turn nasty. Much as I love snow as my name suggests, it's only weather...

However, I just wanted to say that finally my children have managed to throw a couple of snowballs... 2-3cms here :)

Here comes the problem for today already.

Temps and Dewpoints at 8z

Weybourne 4c 2c

Suffolk Coast 2c 1c

Southend 1.8c 0.5c

Manston 1.6c 0.5c

Dewpoints on the rise, much better inland with -1c dewpoints still but expect them to rise during the day as well, so wintry mix the order of the day today, think the BBC/Meto are on the money today to be fair!

Places that have much better chance of snowfall like Stansted at -1c -1c

SW Of London have -3c Dewpoints still, would be much more excited in places like this as any showers that are wintry around the coasts and can keep together have a chance of staying as snow throughout today!

ITV local weather says dry and sunny today. Surely that can't be right? Can't believe the difference in weather forecasts.

It is dry and sunny @ 5000 ft !!

TV weather forecasts are dreadful tbh, 90 seconds at best, just a generalisation of overall weather with a presenters smile...waste of time and money

About 2-3cms here in Sawbo. So not quite as much as Friday but I can't complain. Most of the early snow last night was always 10miles ish away NE, N, NW and W as it passed. But must of had slightly better alignment with showers after midnight for a time.

Hope others have done ok.

About 4cm here in Farnham, lovely to see! Looks like we were very lucky and right in the middle of the band!

I'm guessing it's going to warm up too much for the blobs off of Kent to come here as snow!!

Temp 0.8

Dp -1.6
