You brave soul. What goodies did you glean?

Haha, my life was spared - just a general observation nothing fancy. I feel alienated in there with my inferior knowledge.

Come on radar get on it!

Oooo post 1,500 :)

Which model does Croydon Council follow Yamkin? Presumably it's not the Met Office, which currently has only sleet for Croydon from 7-10 a.m. tomorrow.

Chatham says sleet now only, although Rochester and Higham have one snow symbol each 6&5pm next to sleet. I'm sure they will be gone by tomorrow PM though it's nice to see 4 hours worth for here- would be more than anything we've had in 2 years if it occurred!

Chatham does at 17:00hrs-18:00...been showing that all day

Sorry I should of said Chatham Ski Centre on met office...no pun intended with it being a ski centre and all that, it's dry slope lol

BTW Chatham Ski Centre now says light snow 16:00 to 18:00

One thing is very clear to me. If the band of precip does develop through the wash during the night then it will need to be of moderate intensity to fall as snow. If this is light then it will more likely be rain/sleet.

The main problem with this cold spell is upper temps have generally been around -6 to -7C. Now I always use -10C as a benchmark and this is especially true as the flow has been NNE/NE,ly. Personally I have done better than expected considering the synoptic pattern, upper temps but as I said many days prior to the cold spell it was never going to be a classic.

Finally I read someone say on here that they have given up and shall return in November. This is madness in my opinion especially as +384 takes us to the 20th Feb. Once we get to end of Feb/early March ice days become difficult to achieve but there is no reason why a cold spell with -15C upper temps cannot occur over the next 2 weeks. Only when you get into March does it become difficult to get upper temps below -10C.

Kent Blizzard the dew points on the Euro4 are flawed. Going from today.

Well not for my location, one thing for sure there will be much anguish if it did come to reality, we've been chucked in the gutter before. I do not see how it is possible given the very cold airmass...

These 850s are bitter! -9/-10 Sod's law we get them when pressure starts to build.

Those dew points are almost certainly flawed on the euro4! ! Just done see how we have positive dew points when every other parameter is perfect for snowfall wet bulb, thickness, 850s and temps!!
