Its raining here. No wintry mix.

Our last shower was rain, but it's now green on NW radar, suggesting that it should be wintry at least, maybe snow.

Hi and thank you Jimmy.

Ssh, that's been rightly consigned to Room 101.

Just a footnote to my streamer post above, one concern I have is pressure building from the NW and

suppressing any shower activity, so fingers crossed. What's really frustrating is that a couple of days

ago, that high to our west was forecast to be a couple of hundred miles further north, which would've meant

more of the SE likely to see some snow showers, as well as a longer window of opportunity. And if my Aunt

was my Uncle, blah, blah, blah....Anyway,its the dish we've been served, lets hope that some areas still

get to see some white stuff, over the next day or so.

Tom.

The good old Snow Cup, think I got the Runners Up spot 3 years ago, how ironic now when we have had just one dusting this winter and nothing last year.... lol

Hi Chris, I was really hoping Norfolk would do well out of this setup. Hope it goes from green to pink real soon.

Hope our new member pops back in tonight, although ive forgotton her name.

It does look dew points will be unfavourable in Norfolk esp near coasts where it will be more likely rain/sleet.

Just had gritters gritting the main road here, can't be for snow dp 1.1, so they must be expecting ice again.

A hi-res model showing accumulated precipitation by Thursday night.  Shows over 10mm in some parts of the east.  With -8 to -10 uppers there is a chance some hillier parts might catch as much as 10mm or rainfall equivalent

Latest Euro 4 suggests mainly rain tonight!

Looking at the predicted dewpoints/temps from that model they appear too high compared to what is currently being recorded. A case of just waiting to see what happens.

Yes. Ware showing 0.8 dp and London City 0.0 at 1830hrs, so not far off at this early stage.

Am I right in saying 10mm of rain  = 100mm of snow (approx 10 times) so 10cm's?

looks like some convection just off coast of east anglia forming a nice line sw/ne of showers from Felixstowe to Gt Yarmouth. Worth keeping an eye on?

Dewpoints now just below freezing here. Like I said earlier the Euro 4 is predicting warmer dewpoints than I am currently experiencing.

That's a good sign because I was worried about the DPs....a few porn stars I know say the same ;)
