is coming down pretty well in Manc CC now (I'm in work today! ) but the ground is very wet so I'm not holding my breath for it to stick.

If the snow were heavy enough I'm pretty sure it would stick in minutes whatever how damp the ground is.

The heaviest band is over Manchester now so I guess it will soon get lighter and turn to rain.

High tide in about an hour,wind picked up abit could be abit of flooding on the wirral wirralcam.com

Wet snow melting on impact - looks dramatic falling from the skies.  If it was a rain/sleet turning to snow on back-edge event it would be more exciting, but this is as good as it's gets before it turns completely to rain.

Snowing fairly well now, much better than the haily-stuff we was getting all day yesterday in the showers.

You need to hurry as it won't be long before it turns to rain.  

 

Turning back to sleet now here as the wind strengthens.

Webcams show ground is white over in Buxton now, Cat and Fiddle looks like it might be tricky, but bizarrely doesn't seem to be affecting road near Flash Bar Store.
