Echoing the sentiments of others, radar is lying through its teeth. It's dry as a bone here!

Yeah, wont be long till areas that are under PPN will actually see stuff falling I'd imagine. There's a lot of PPN on the radar stretching all the way north, and generally aiming for this region!

The radar isn't lying the precipitation is evaporating before it hits the ground.

Looks like that first blob of precipitation over the leeds area was anaprop.

That blob just west of harrogate will be the real stuff, things are shaping up nicely for a good night in west yorkshire ;)It's also showing signs of intensifieng on the last loop and a good 50-75 miles further east than initially progged, I expect a direct hit now for some of us tonight!

Im gonna hold you to this HC!  Haha!

You think Leeds will do alright, then?

lol. Not the city centre, rather the suburbs. But looking at the radar were in for a good few hours precipitation, mainly light-moderate but with some heavier bursts. If people in the NW thread are reporting snow it's likely to be all snow here. Especially above 50m to be on the safe side..

Oh, no, don't think the City will see much, even living a 25 minute walk away, it's noticeable how much cooler it is than in the City at the moment.

Yeah, I'd agree with that, and with night time here now, that should help temps and any settling!

Nothing here as of yet, I'm not impressed as they have changed the street lights on my street to the bright white light ones, not as good for snow watching, I miss the Orange ones lol

Talk about gutting for North West England, I know I shouldn't laugh but it never ever goes in there favour. When they do do see precipitatio the northwest winds are too mild so it falls as rain and when it looks good it hits the statically snowy western parts of Yorkshire.

I suspect you're using the wrong radar scale probably netweathers new one. Use the old scale much more accurate and shows that most of the snow is light.

Now definitely in the Green bit as gone moderate to heavy with 5mm size flakes. Got to hope the main band stays formed and heavy when it gets down to here in 2 hours.

What's the first line of your postcode? Or do you live near a village etc cos I have no idea where you are. Send it this way!

Possibly the most eastward extent looking over Southern Scotland which puts South and West Yorkshire in the sweet spot.
