I'm looking more forward to hopefully see some beefy snow showers tomorrow into Monday.I think it'll be a disappointing wintry mix wed, thurs tbh.Colder uppers moving over us other side of midnight and hopefully a streamer or two setting up tomorrow afternoon onwards.

Looking at the free version of the NWradar there seem to be some clumps of precipitation heading York's way. Lets hope they make it over the moors. Oh and that it falls as snow. It was an icy drive home this morning coupled with the fact that my Zafira drives like a haystack.

Streamer heading in looks just a bit too Far East from an imby perspective. Hopefully more snow shots later on.

Out of interest what are people's current temps/dew points? Are they starting to drop off now? Feels absolutely bitter out there!

Snow showers at the moment surely bodes well for later!

I really hope so anyway. We have had the polystyrene ball variety this afternoon and can see lovely dark clouds looming as I type :)

Well that's a turn up for the books a very slight covering here, snow then graupel then snow both fine and big flakes, surprised it stuck but you guys with altitude should be optimistic, its flat as a witches t#t here

Showers missed here so far, but can see a covering on the Wolds to my east. North York Moors looks snowy in places already. image.thumb.jpg.21ee63160a78a49ad0a508dd

Went for a drive up to north Yorkshire this afternoon... Hills to the east of the a19 north of thirst looked stunning and there was a good covering even down where I was. Then went up to Sutton Bank and took a walk in a real whiteout, about an inch on the ground when I left with all the trees and heather covered beautifully. All the convection seemed to die off as I was driving home but the forecast looks good for this evening and overnight. Good luck all!

Recently had an impressive hail shower.

Fresh down, it was a complete white covering.

Quite meaty 'stones' too.

Just had a 15 minute snow shower here, stopping now but has left a light covering. Didn't realise there was a chance of snow today, is that it or is anymore likely in NW Leeds?

Here's some of the pictures from today's trip out.... the first 2 are just off the A19 north of Thirsk, and the rest are Sutton Bank.

Nothing yet of note in Sheffield, had one decent intensity shower this afternoon but was all over after 2 minutes. Just very cold. Nice to feel the bitter air though. Feels like winter at least :cold:

Forecast still not too bad for this evening, overnight and  into tomorrow. All of Yorkshire under a yellow warning for snow so we could all see a covering by morning! I hope we all do, good luck  :D
