So if there is enough energy to produce storms on the warm front, there is alot of instability to set it all off when the cold front arrives? Tonight is going to be an exciting one!

Really liking the look of this now! Could that Dorset lot be the precursor to the possible monster being modelled over the East Mids/Lincs! We shall see!

We could do with some of these showers over south yorkshire/north midlands becoming electrified inland, all the energy seems to be in the far west and far south at the moment.

Amazing that from where I am I can see Lighening bolts (not sheet lightening) from storms the other side of Bala!

Well that's not so good for me - had kind of hoped anything would form south of me and move overhead...back to possibly being a breeding ground again.

More AcCas in the sky again over London including some developing jellyfish...evening jellyfish are usually good precursors to overnight storms (numerous occasions they have been spot on signalmen)attachicon.gifimage.jpg

Hi. What is evening jellyyfish please. I really dont know much about this stuff but very interested in learning.

Look at the Sussex storm those further north! From nothing to really heavy precip. Thinking of chasing it...

I'm heading over to Dunstable - the downs look good for views according to google! I'm very close too. Bit worried about storm direction - is it gonna change?

You said you were in Tring just now, right? Get yourself over Ivinghoe Beacon pal, you can see out across a whole swathe of the countryside at 230 metres up. Mind you, if it's directly overhead, bit of a magnet for being struck by lightning....

A cell has just popped up to the east of Crawley in the last few minutes, heading towards London. Looks like it could be an interesting one to keep an eye on.

Yes got a great spot can see flashes for the storms 30/40 miles away in central and west wales..... Good start!

A better view than here I thought I saw one flash to the SW but I don`t think it was.

Can anyone update on the chances for the South East? If it's a bust I may retire for the night

I'm in the car on the sea front in Christchurch, the wind has gone from nothing to really strong on less than a minute, something is about to kick off here or North of here very soon!
