It's grim out! what is it going to be like later when the heavy stuff arrives ?

temps are a degree or two down on previous mornings as well which i guess is to be expected.

Pleased to read that, knocker.  It only really got going here about an hour ago and the really heavy stuff is still to come.  Is it my imagination or is it taking a more northerly track than anticipated even later yesterday?

Rainfall forecasts in these situations are a bit of a nightmare but the METO is spreading the rain quite away north (Yorshire, Lancs) but still keeping the heavy rain along the channel/s, coast and into the SE by 1900. But as always in these situations local rainfall can be more or less than expected. That's me being less than helpful as usual. :)

Yes, was just under than for a good hour, very heavy rain at times, surprisingly not electrified.

Rainfall already at 5.1 mm and were only just on the edge of the proper precipitation. I think it could reach 10mm at least today.

Double that guess I would say at least. I am on 10 mm already and now 11mm

Haha, oh sorry I thought it was 2C outside, my bad! :p

Really coming down here at the moment, could overtake January 12th as the wettest day of the year so far. I suppose the gardens need it though even if it is truly grim.

It might as well be it feels darn cold outside at 12c for this time of year certainly not summery!

13mm of rain now which is wettest day in a while.

Yes it is, and if you go back right to last weekend the initial track of this was over Northern France and the debate was, would the southern areas see any rain?
