The sky looks heavy, nothing to get me out of my seat though

As of an hour ago BBC firmly keeping to the few splashes of rain/showers theme for my neck of the woods. MetO similar.

NMM5, NMM10 and GFS as of 12z by contrast opting for something much more significant.

What is he doing with his left hand?  :cc_confused::rofl:

Anyway, back to storm discussion before I lead this off-topic... looks like activity is finally firing up in the Channel. Here starts another Spanish plume! :bomb:

Looking at current radar, I think I'm going to be sandwiched in the middle of all the action, everything is west and east of me atm.

Welcome dude - enjoy the ride - any acronyms you're unsure of or terms, quick google search should help you right out to get you up to speed :D not to say people here won't help you out, but during peak times (which tonight will hopefully be) queries might get lost in the pandemonium

All or any pics or vids you get for today's activities, even if some convective cloudscapes, please post them here.

We had some mid level convection, I think the main cloud type was Ac. It looks stormy, but not as much as earlier. COME ON THE STORMS!

Hi guys and girls, look sorry if you can help, it's just I have a child with down syndrome and as some of you know I need to be on top of storms as it really affects him.

just a question if anyone can help...am I looking at storms 6 miles west of High Wycombe???

the temp has dramatically dropped over the last hour and the wind is picking up but would appreciate any heads up.

Thank you in advance for any help

The models are split on wether this is going to happen or not. Your best bet is to stay tuned to this thread and watch http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime?lang=en to see strikes in real time.

Anyone on the IOW should be getting a view if they were to look South right now.
