I'm in-situ at RH and there is a very clear sign of mid-level convection and even the sun has just popped out!

I have my new ThunderCatcher (which is basically all my old iPhones glued to a box) so I can take multiple videos at different angles - and do slo mo too. It will also keep my phones dry in the event of a downpour!

So - all set. May move later on but will survey this area first for a good spot to storm watch....

Nice and early too! Better than last time when the storm just steamrollered over me while I struggled to find somewhere to stop...

Got my first car dash cam today, full HD and all that. Tell you what, those dash cams ain't half bad at recording road/sky footage. Good to have I reckon if you're ever chasing - can use for footage. Can't wait to set it up.

Things should be getting going about now in the channel. Nothing yet so patience required!

About to get off the train when I can have a good survey of they sky. Not seen anything castle like yet but lots of big standard Ac floating about. Humidity has been slowly climbing too though up to now it's hardly been noticeable after the tropic like few days we've had here.

Edit - can make out some agitated Ac with bright white tops (suggesting some verticality). Not the traditional AcCas though

Right skies are looking increasingly primed around here. Still some residual murk left over from this morning making visibility a little difficult however through it I can see some towering Ac.

Looking good peeps!!

Has it happened earlier than thought and gone East? A genuine question because I'm not very knowledgeable

Lovely scenery there William! Bit different to the fens where I am, much of it below sea level lol. Makes for great viewing of distant lightning and storms though. You can see for absolutely miles!

Storms don't read predicted cape etc lol.

Some forcing from the weather front no don't going on there which isn't a bad thing.

Funny you should say that. I've actually been thinking the same thing since that stuff went up in the Channel. Wouldn't be at all surprised to be quite honest. We shall see, but maybe just watch it all go bang in Belgium and Holland later! Would be just typical.

I'm starting to worry - just slightly - that things are going a bit awry... Seemed stormy enough earlier but feels fresher now and the skies are mostly stratus now and less 'clumpy'.

I don't want to jump the gun though - so do correct me if I'm wrong!
