Only 2 miles off shore now and will land as a Cat 5. Thanks for putting me onto CNN. Its going to be long night for me, let alone the poor Mexicans.

Watching CNN myself and they have just confirmed it will make landfall within minutes as a category 5 hurricane!

Very informative, shame about all the adverts! Sounds like the rain is going to be more of a problem

It's definitely picking up on that La Manzanilla beach cam, first time I've seen the water get beyond those bench things as well. Not sure if the camera is loose or if someone is still there adjusting it! :o

I cannot see an eye wall on any of the cameras yet. Is there still yet to be an eye wall?

There has been an eye for a long while, though the outerwall's kinda choked the inner wall with no 'clear air' eye visible for a while now.

So, does this mean that basically there is going to be a insignificant short insane burst of wind?

Yes it has for me again. It may have fallen off again. Doubt we'll see anything now from it.

What a shame, I was enjoying getting screen shots as it started coming through. Don't suppose it really stood a chance though eh and don't think that will ever be found again !

So, Patricia has now made landfall as cat 5 with 190 mph max winds, the eye coming ashore near Emiliano Zapata.

Record breaking. Historic.
