Why can't every December be like this?!

LOL, I know you like it!! The recent weather has no place in December in my book... Mild dominated, gloomy & extremely wet causing severe flooding. No thanks! Enjoyed the T-storm earlier though with some hail thrown in :p

Not a bad days weather really and certainly conditions that made wandering around Manchester's Christmas Markets more bearable.

dry throughout the time we were there although we ran into heavy showers on the way home.

Wet morning, quite windy around lunchtime with gusts close to 50mph and it feels cool with a current temp of 9.4c! Yes it feels cool at that temp in the wind given how absurdly mild it was the other day!

Dry start, peeeeeing down in the middle and a dry end......oh and feeling damned cold in the breeze even though technically it was still classed as mild.

although I suppose it is winter and that is more akin to a UK winter than -10c and a full on blizzard.

never mind off out for some birthday pub grub.....beer on a Monday.

Scary thought to think that 2 day cold snap at the beginning of December might be the one and only cold spell we get this winter.  Yes, I know it's ridiculous to even think that but crikey the winter solstice is forecast to be as warm if not warmer than the summer solstice in June!  The models aren't in a hurry to show anything remotely cold yet.  Keep the faith, but the mild dross week after week saps away at your spirits.  Lurgy's spreading like wildfire although touch wood I haven't come down with anything yet.

The woeful weather continues here in Cumbria, day after day of rain, once again even just a few hours of rain caused localised flooding and drains to burst open, not good at all.

Really could do with a lengthy dry spell now.

The weather over Christmas looks equally more of the same - mind its been a long time since we had a relatively settled Christmas period - they are very rare overall, late Dec is notoriously a topsy turvy period.

Things will change, the change can't come soon enough though. Its been a very miserable few weeks here..

Worrying times. Especially with Fergie's update on twitter that someone in the mod thread quoted. Looks *drier* but still on the mild side into January, No one is infallible but the Met have been almost spot on so far this Winter with their updates. One straw to clutch is a few weeks ago he said potentially late Winter/February could be cold.
