This is flippin' typical. Snow in Leicester now and nothing down here in Oxford. Also the PPN is way too far East now! The main event looks to be over the East Midlands and will slide down into London and the South East. the models were about 50-100 miles out in predicting this band of PPN!

Looks like the snows coming down the m6. Stoke then stafford now Cannock. Next junction 9 Wednesbury ☺

Birmingham Rain/Sleet Mix With Some Flakes Mixing In. Definately Dew Points Are Lowering After Earlier Rise.

 

Ps: Still Pretty Intense Stuff Towards Cheshire Heading SE.

Heavy precipitation now running NW to SE just to the west of the Peak District across the likes of Cheshire and Manchester. That looks to have some of our names on it.

Wrong, the cold air must be coming down, because all my rain has turned to snow and I'm at least 15 miles west of you

Snowing nicely here now. Sticking to most surfaces.

Sounds like some colder air is starting to push south with the heavier PPN, good news for some of us if so.

The temperature and dp are being really stubborn here, they hardly seem to be shifting - currently 1.8°C and 1.1°C respectively.

How high up are you? Oldbury is not that far away but may as well be in the Highlands of Scotland and myself in the Isles of Scilly for the difference in weather right now!
