Defo colder for 4-5 days ronan but not sure there will be much snow. To early to tell. I'm not convinced just yet. Still a few days before the reliable in my eyes on the severity of this. My bet is for a small cold snap but mostly dry bar favoured spots

I'm just hoping for once that we all get lucky and get the snow!  ECM huge coming up. Any backtrack on it and I think we are on the slippery slope. I have my doubts!

Epic 12z GFS, that's twice today it's had those blizzard conditions at the end of the high res section.

Another fantastic ECM tonight. Coldish night tonight, getting colder all the time as we get to midweek next week, with a mix between heavy snow and scattered wintery showers for all!

It would take THE biggest backtrack by all models for this to not occur I feel now.

Absolutely freezing outside now. Weather warning started at 7pm this evening although no sign of any ppn around the north. Seems to be heavy ppn moving up through Munster.

I'm like a kid in a candy store, can't wait for it to get colder.  Love winter.

Walked the dog down to Antrim lough neagh shore.  Its unreal down there, bad flooding around the lough shore park and up to massereene golf course.  Looks like the caravan park, café and other buildings around the area are at risk now too.

Six mile river also very high again and bursting its banks for a 4/5 time in the past few weeks.

Temperature climbing here, now up to 3.6C. Just some sleety rain this evening.

Some nutters on there, micro analysing every little nuance.

"Poor run, cold is delayed by three minutes " blah

I hardly ever read the long range met office updates anymore Wegaz. I used to and they annoyed the hell out of me as they  changed daily so I stopped reading them. Just read their forecast on the regional thread. Still a long way to go in this projected Cold spell though. Nothing definite yet in my eyes

Micro analysing everything even though they haven't a clue. Some sort of cold spell on the way long or short, who cares as long as we get something.

Exactly as iv been saying last two days Ronan. This was never never a done deal. Make or break time tomorrow. And I'm not hopeful. This is going the way of the pear shape. Once again.

Neiller,  it's the GFS 18z. The worst run of the day of the worst ops run of the big three.

It just ain't going to be right.
