Yes we have a particularly effective snow shield....its the latest model that keeps out the snow but lets in the rain

Why is it so snowless where you are? I used to work with someone from there who said even in 1962-63 all they had was a few patches of snow.

You could actually be in for a period of quite heavy snow now.

Well 2 hours ago I was chucking the towel in. The last 2 hours have made this a decent event. No doubt higher areas of Bolton have done well, Smithills,  Bromley cross, Heaton, Horwich and blackrod.  Lower areas such has farnworth, kearsley, the levers, may have a few CM less.

still coming down :):):)

I went to Manchester Airport today - was snowing at Manchester Airport from about 3pm but when I got back to Garston - Liverpool South Parkway nothing in terms of snow lying - still nothing as far as I can see just that drizzly stuff I find it amazing that we have missed out as parts of Runcorn and Widnes have lying snow - do you think we in Garston are in with a chance?

So that's snow to my west, north, east and south now. Mental. Could probably walk to Widness in 40-50 minutes and they have a covering of snow.

Hi,

I thought I spoke to soon as for me here in Garston as it appears to be getting colder here and what is coming down is sticking to car windscreens and wheelie bins.  Also if it is snowing and settling in Southport, surely it is good news for me in South Liverpool - snow in Southport rarer than Garston I would assume! It would be nice to know if the snow over Southport will reach South Liverpool should not be too long if coming my way.

Thanks, yep that definitely explains it.   Oh well you can't win them all... and like I said, it won't take too much of a walk/drive tomorrow to get some decent pics.

Well we've got a nice 1 and 1/2 - 2 inches here, up to 4 inches on the hills!

Probably about 2cm now in Salford from 9 hours of snow, still falling but probably only another hour looking at the radar! Some shots from earlier and a couple just now.
