What makes it worse for you is that you're under a warning for snow. As annoying as Im finding the persistent drizzle/light rain, if I was under an plain as day inaccurate snow warning, Id be going nuts.

You know when you get excited about something, look forward to it then it doesn't end up happening. That crushing disappointment is what I feel right now.

Snow continues to fall here, albeit lightly, probably about 2 inches. Looking at the radar, not much more expected, but wouldn't be surprised to see a further pulse in the next few hours spring out of nowhere.

A decent event in terms of length, pity the snow hasn't got especially heavy - still it will be a winter wonderland scene tomorrow - great timing coinciding with Sunday in mid winter.

Must have been some sort of cold air wrap around at the back of this snow. It's really come down for 30mins now!

Meanwhile spare a thought for those of us staring at sodden tarmac!

This is like Dec 2009, Jan 2010 and Dec 2010 all over again for me. Enviously watching a strip from Merseyside to Stockport getting pummelled.

I will Crewe I will, it happens to me enough so I'm not going to rub it in I know just how you must be feeling ........ and after that bit of sympathy I'm pleased to report it's snowing moderately again here.

We have a very wet cm here, which will likely melt unless the temp drops.

-1.3oC in Salford, registering 0oC at Manchester airport. Is it that much warmer in Chorlton?
