Interesting! Can't believe how close we are to snow at the moment...dew point to just a bit too high.

Currently about 2c DP on my station and in that area all over the region.

Do we think they'll drop later?

Dew points are down to -4 from buoys of the norfolk coast at the mo,not holding much hope here in costa del clacton but a bit inland over higher ground will get few cm overnight reckon.

Not expecting much if anything here. This has the hallmarks of a Kent event and sod all anywhere else.

A keen NE usually fails to deliver here as the showers die off to the north of London.

Just had a 5 minute shower after clouds been building for last couple of hours, consisted of about half cold rain, half graupel/pellet snow stuff which melted straight away. :nea:

It could be an interesting lamppost-watch, tonight? It even looks as I might be wrong again; very low DPs and some descent snow showers...That said: I ain't seen nothin' yet!:yahoo:

Ok temp here is now 5.1, a high of 5.5 earlier but the main news is DP is on it's way down, start at round 3.3, it is now 1.8. In a few hours it could be negative.

And, as I speak, and seemingly out of nothing, we have a wee bit of graupel!:yahoo:

Came out of nowhere from the northeast which doesn't happen often. With the North Sea being much warmer then normal maybe they forming much quicker

I can't see that the wind will take showers very far inland at all - the MO have the current NNE direction gradually turning more NNW'erly overnight.  So maybe any showers skimming the far east of Kent at best for a while?

Can't work out shower direction one loop direct south the next pushing slightly further inland.. We shall see just need them winds to swing round ever so slightly further West and lots of people will have better odds

Reminder, get cold on first, worry about ppn later :p
