Shame I'm at the low end of potential today as some good diurnal heating underway here.

I suspect storms will be more isolated that Estofex is going for, but then that's half the excitement, trying to second guess models/forecasters

well estofex aren't taking any chances with the whole of the UK , Ireland and France in the forecast although they do seem to have overdone it just a little bit when compared to uk specific forecasts and nobody on that front is going for anything too dramatic

Yeah we had one massive crack of thunder and some 1-2 cm hail for about 6/7 mins

Going to be one of those days when I get back from shopping later and we'll be on page 50 which tonnes of updates and hopefully lots of pics/videos.

Couldnt be more perfect here at the moment for some convection to bubble later.

It's all missing here thank goodness! I have wet cement to contend with. There are black clouds all around me though..

Had 1 or 2 odd showers here but main cluster down south and east still plenty of time for the atmosphere to fuel more though

Rare that the storms are building as they approach our area.

i imagine Surrey is getting rather excited by the prospects for the afternoon - looks like we're in the crosshairs for some good sharp storms!

The temp was only 14 C yesterday in Kent and it kicked off big time on the coast.

latest news 24 didn't put any real emphasis on thunder except for the SE later on this afternoon which judging by radar that's those showers that's Surrey may see shortly and Flash bang flash bang etc will see later on , gone little cloudy here but nothing of significance coming my one at the moment , interestingly for tomrrow the bbc actually show that line of showers that was in the spine of the couintry perhaps moving west and into E Wales probably change again by the morning

My plan was to chase today but it seems some forecasts favor the west whilst others favor the east. Wind convergence looks stronger further east as does DLS but CAPE looks stronger further west. I think I will await the 06z!

Plenty of showers along the M4 oh wait...

Things aren't ramping up as much as I would like across Wales and western England. I am hoping it gets a bit of a kick in the next hour or two before the showers start to get here.
