Rain has just started in Lowestoft. Increasing steadily in intensity. 2 quite large flashes of lightning within the last minute. This could be good!

Well, it's made it!! 

Might well be a longer night up than I thought. Will be looking for distant flashes now to the east. North Sea crud is still absent thank god.

Starting to spit with rain here now, wind really picking up. Can confirm that I saw a big flash just north of me (over land). Showing up as a strike on the blitzortung site, but not on Netweather radar.

Activity starting to pick up in the north sea, with new cells firing up. Pretty sure the new stuff building is more elevated than earlier, probably why the lightning rate is increasing and the cold water isn't having an effect.

i know that lightningmaps does not pick up IC lightning,but maybe the radar i have just posted,does.

One or two bright flashes per minute here, and loud, deep, rolling rumbles here. Rain is hammering down and the wind is getting up more. A proper stormy night here now.
