Been hearing it from here over the last half hour! Seems to be back building. Think this will be on the news, the rain rates in there are close to dangerous.

Anyone got any photos of the storm?

Really high based thunder here. Can't see the lightning but it's rumbling faintly overhead.

Reports from a friend in Sedgeford, a town where the rain totals were even higher, said his station has recorded 42mm of rain and its still raining pretty heavy!

EDIT: More sirens, rain died of a bit now, flashes aren't as close but still too close for comfort, rumbles as big as ever

Nice storm passed through here 10 or so mins ago, plenty of lightening, power went off for a short while, all quiet now. Some amazing cloudscapes today looking North.

Cell intensifying even though the lightning activity has stopped. Ok?

Not such a good day around Derby so far, just lots of moderate/heavy rain. These cells are spawning and dying all over the place though. It would be a hard day to chase, unless you are in north Norfolk/Wash area :O

Most interesting skies so far here today now. Plenty of scud on some rather dark cloud bases too. :)

Storm drifted out to sea from here now, but constant rumbles still with the occasional flash still! sirens in distance, probable flooding with all the rain

Wish I had chased it, but knowing my luck if I do now, it'll have dissipated :(!! Kicking myself for not heading towards Kings Lynn way!

Developing quite a shelf on its back edge though :o

Wish I'd gone to Norfolk this afternoon!

Can I call bust on this week for the South? Despite repeated 'thunder risk' days our neck of the woods really hasn't seen anything.

On top of this I've even been travelling to Hertfordshire every day and was sure I'd see SOMETHING... But it really hasn't lived up anywhere near expectations for me.

I must say however that Tony's forecasts from UKWW have been very good - he hasn't hyped up the thunder aspect of things much and that's exactly what's happened.
