Well that last shower has whitened most surfaces outside.  Starting to drift off now, so here's hoping a few more showers stick overnight.

Shower over the lakes weakened a lot....

Light rain now, this is not a convective shower though, its the stuff that developed over land so suspect that is one reason why it may not be wintry plus the fact the uppers have now went past there coldest part of the night so that should be my lot now.

Will  be interested too see just how strong the winds will get by tomorrow morning and how the PPN in the end plays out.

Anyone think we needed to be 'warned about this weather'. 

Unfortunately all week the place to be was the NW we were told. Bit of a let down unfortunately.

Heavy and settling here. The intensity definitely helps when it is marginal.

Big area moving into northern Scotland now! Will that make the whole region or just the east I wonder?

Really heavy snow..... massive flakes 3-4cm on ground 4-6cm where its blown against walls, garden furniture....
