No definitely not. The pub we are going to tonight has no 3G so I'm quite glad of that - I can concentrate on drinking instead. :pardon:

Foggy start, but a bit of brightness now - mostly cloudy though. My yearly rainfall is still quite a bit above average for the year due to January being exceptionally wet, March, May, June, September and November all had above average  rainfall too.

I didn't have this station running until March 1st, so the rainfall data for January and February are from the station before - January: 219.5mm - February: 73mm

chart.png

Temp: 8.1°C - Hum: 99% - Dew: 7.9°C - Bar: 1031.43hPa - Wind: Calm.

The enclosed link suggests that Bournemouth YoY average is presently a +ve value of 48.4mm,

I took the quad for a maiden flight! I forgot to activate GPS Altitude mode, so it wanted to fly everywhere, and it crashed. Luckily only the blades got a beasting, you can buy spares for every part. Once I locked in the GPS mode, it took off and hovered in the same position - which I set to around 15 metres. It's very easy in that mode, which is handy for me lol
The return to home function is perfect, it remembers the GPS coordinates for take off, so it will come back to the same place, then land safely on it's own - a very cool little quad. I can't wait to take it out in the open, as it has a range beyond 1km.

lmao!

Oh dear, Matt Hugo has throw the towel in for the present (i.e. 10day scenario).:cray:

Oh well meanwhile, we are now back with SW air and a breeze picking up, so the fog is chased away..

Yup, apart from a snowmaggedon in 2 weeks time, and then frigid cold in February, with the south being covered in snow in March from a channel low.

Damn I've been "MOD"ed...

Crikey chaps this is becoming as happy as the MOD thread. Chin up I'll take 2 cold days versus the crud from last year. Looking like the tops of the moors could get a good 12 hours of snow fall Sunday into Monday. Monday itself looks a pearler. Strong cold north easterly winds windchill sub zero followed by a heavy frost. Yes it's over in a couple of days but I'll embrace it!

To be fair, it looks like being chilly & dry for the foreseeable for our locality, after tomorrow's CF has cleared south.

Might not be overwhelming, but at least we won't need our dingys & sandbags yet.

Happy New year everyone.. sinking the first gin and tonic as we speak.. off to The Sheppey pub in a bit to drink and be merry. Here's to a snowy start to 2017... even if we do only get one day of snow I'll be happy. :yahoo:

I take it the idea of back edge snow tomorrow has died a death?

Been in the mod thread....reminds me of playing blind mans buff.. blind folded, turned round and round then spinning off trying to guess who you'd caught. I'm kind of glad those model charts make no sense to me, much less stressful when you view them as just pretty coloured blobs floating around in the ether.

Happy New Year everyone!
