Would be interesting to decipher what "eastern districts" he means?

Something must be brewing, this thread seems as busy as the MAD thread!

Bristol has a snowshield erected from Whitchurch, across to Keynsham & up to Yate.

Nothing ever beats the Bristol snowdome.  Lol.

With your altitude, you have every right to be merry as things stand.

Bristol just has a full on weather shield! I've been at home during snow and thunderstorms (North Somerset) while there's nothing in Bristol and vice versa. A classic snow case was 17th December 2010 when there was barely 1cm of snow in Bristol with sunny skies, yet 10 miles south in North Somerset it had been snowing off an on all afternon and a decent 6-7cm had accumulated.

Yes I think your spot on, it wouldn't be the 1st time the Bristol area gets rain and 20 miles further east gets a white out. Perhaps Bristol gets warmer uppers/dew points due to its proximity to the Bristol Channel?

Quite possibly, & that would be more notable in a NW/NNW'ly as modelled towards the end of the week.

First post for ages and totally confused.  People talking of snow. What is that and should I be worried?

It depends what you're worried about, kent? If you're worried that it won't snow in Poole, I completely understand lol

As it stands now, many areas across the region could see some flakes of snow, the best chances look to be further inland, but that doesn't rule out a bit of wintriness for our part of the region, late on Thursday, as the feature moves East. It'll simply come down to the radar, your own stations readings and your eyes. :)

This is what I was concerned about when I moved to the coast last year. Hopefully won't matter this time and I see something here too.
