Just as I thought then. A non event on Thursday. Possibly.  :nonono:

See what the ecm says though I guess?

Your probably right but its one set of runs, lets wait for one that conforms with what we want to see then we can decide that one is the correct output.. :rofl:

Surely if the Met Office was confident enough that it was going to be a rain only event, even if there was a little snow then why would that even warrant a weather warning? Must be something they see that we don't?

I've kinda written off Thursday... not a fan of the marginal crap. I'm hoping there's some unexpected precipitation around on Friday when it's cold enough.

I think they are just doing their usual "cautious" warning, in case something massive happens and they end up  with egg on their faces.. that way that can't say they didn't warn us

See what the ECM @ 6:30pm says for next week's potential excitement, I reckon and don't get hung up about Thursday until erm... Thursday.

On this rare occasion I am buoyed up my my impending holiday although also trying to block out snowmagedon that I'll miss later in week :wallbash:

As we are now approaching the 'BIG FREEZE' I think it is time to remind everyone what to look for on Thursday as I certainly couldn't remember without use of google myself. :hi:

Liam Dutton on Facebook 2 hours ago:

"Increasing hints of easterly wind next week, bringing cold air from Europe. *IF* it happens, daytime temps barely above 0C - even in south."

Pretty little gif, too.

Latest EURO4 12z run is out & at midday Thursday we have a.............

.........  rainfest!!!

Conditions notably the wrong side of marginal with DP's well above freezing;

Rather strong support for a non-event with regards to snow on Thursday tonight.  Wouldn't rule out a rain - snow event yet as further high res modelling comes into play tomorrow but a winter wonderland it isn't going to be for many of us.

Still too early to be definitive, but its a very tricky set up to begin with.

Taking a belt and braces approach....I've got roughly 36 hours to make more to cover every bush and tree in the garden. It WILL be snowy on this hill!

I'm feeling more positive now. I would much rather it this way round with room for possible upgrades, rather than the hi-res models saying it's nailed on and then never happening.

glass is now half full  :pardon:
