Merry Christmas all, currently still and dry in Inverness... something brewing? Had some pretty strong gusts earlier and the Dornach Bridge was shut to all traffic for a while.

I can see that backfiring spectacularly: "Oh look it's just the war, get the candles out and we'll have a sing song"

Yeah but if there's not much light, he could just pick em off one by one with the axe and no-one would notice the blood spraying up the walls...

I'm going to risk going out for a post Xmas dinner walk along the river, but worry there's a ninja shower hiding behind a tree along the river! Dew point 0ºc at the airport... hmmm!

No ninja showers hiding here, pished it down almost all day. Temp peaked at 12C now down to 5C, so basically it was mild and I need to control my languagee, now its chilly and I need to control my languagee.

4C and heavy wet sleet...

-8C 850s are generally needed for snow here and it looks like we have -6C just now, falling to -8C by 6am.... not getting excited at all, at all...

Are a few places - I assume the bookies use METAR reports to determine if it officially snowed or not....

The weather app on my phone claims we'll have sleet from 1am and then possibly snow from about 4am....

PS: I've learnt from experience - that as soon as you tell other people about snow in marginal events - it has a tendency to stop, but if you are really selfish and don't tell anyone - it can go on for hours......

Chewing bloody drawing pins now - checked latest output and the low 850 temps have been modified and shortened so I'd now be surprised to see snow at all...
