Well definitely flipping a lot colder last night as woke up early hours feeling cold. Readings nearby say about -0.2 but it feels way colder - then dew point and wind chill is about -3.8.. that’ll explain it. 

Looks to be a chilly day all day. Not mych above 3. So get them thermals out.

Horses have their extra snuggly thick rugs on so they are all happy.

Morning all, an overnight low of -0.4C around 3:30 has slowly warmed now just -0.1C.

A lot of Cu around this morning although not with any great vertical development. Temp 5C and feeling chilly in the northerly gusting 30mph

In a bizarre twist my lowest temperature was -0.9c at 08:25am 

at 07:15am it was + 0.9c

Fairly organised bunch of showers have banded together a bit over N Wales and heading in a general SE direction...... could it reach us 

certainly wasn’t forecast to be like that!

Perhaps our best chance of a flurry now is in the small hours of Friday Morning. Other than that, this cold spell is a bust, as with many Northerly outbreaks for our region.

You never know karlos. Lauren Laverne just said it's snowing outside the 6 Music studio in Central London. I don't think that was forecast... Admittedly, they have more chance than us in this setup, but we'll see.

Not had perfectly blue skies again though, lots of cloud around.

Temp: 5.7°C - Hum: 61% - Dew: -1.3°C - Bar: 1013.41hPa -  Wind: NW ~ N @ 10mph.

Reading about snow in London just as bad, even if it wasn’t as much at least they’ve seen falling snow.

No surprise of cold rain here in plymouth city centre. Was out walking the dog about 6 though on the moors at home. radar said it should be snowing it was just drizzle so the radar is not always accurate. Based on that the red colours in the north east today is just drizzle......

Just had a look in  there, watched the gopro video clip, must be awesome to live in a part of the country where you can get snow like that just from continuous showers! And here's me getting all excited over a few wet flakes falling lol. 

Got everything crossed that the 06z gfs was picking the correct evolution for later next week, I probably have more chance of winning the lottery but one of these days those awesome charts for our region will verify but in case they don't I'll dig out the Dec 81 photos I have and remind myself about what can happen in the west country where heavy snowfall is concerned.
