I've been building a brewshed for the last couple of months, so today has been my first proper opportunity to check the roof for leaks....

Pretty much bang on an inch for today.

Gaps appearing in the cloud, becoming lighter as the heavy rain moves away.

Today was a day of wet rain, the stuff that soaks into the ground, NICE...

Lighter rain now than earlier. Up to 24.4mm.

12.5mm from 09.00 GMT yesterday to the same time today, and additional 8.1mm to 15.00 GMT today, taking it over the total for the whole of April which was 20.1mm.  A lot of surface water about, but the garden is well soaked.

Turned in to a bog standard wet day, nothing heavy or torrential at all, which is actually better, because it wouldn't soak in to the ground properly.

Proper soaking day, 26mm from 06.00 until now which will end up being the wettest 24 hour period since 21st-22nd November.

The temperature has been steadily dropping too, from 15.4c max at around 07.00 to 10.8c now .

A good steady soaking that has put my sweet peas to right . A heavy ( ish) shower a moment ago ,in the back garden and sun shining in the front :-) .

Cloudy and cool neee but dry at the moment. Not sure if that rain to the east will clip us. 13.0°C.

Lovely sunny morning with some convective cumulus building which then evaporated as the clag from the east began encroaching. Now a veil of high cloud with blue sky still visible to the west and greyer sky towards the east. I wonder if the rain will affect more of us than first thought given it looks a good 50-100 miles further west than initially thought.

Cloudy all day here but no rain except from a few minutes of light rain this afternoon. 

First ive seen if the sun in a few days just now shining on the trees.

Sunny and fresh today with frontal cloud visible on the northeast horizon and convection starting in earnest towards to the south and west. Meanwhile, sun is feeling warm 14.8C.

Whooo hoooooo ! Two beautiful cracks of thunder and a downpour happening now !  I thought it was humid and not just my temperature and sore throat. 

That has cheered me up no end . Garden has had another drenching . Lovely .
