There is about 5 ppl in the mod thread that makes down to earth posts ! When the first flake falls I will get excited

That's why it's pointless reading that thread, 90 percent is garbage from self appointed experts:rofl:

No point in looking at any snow prediction charts until Friday at the earliest. Snow or Rain who knows ? Not even the professionals know at this range so why stress chasing it.

Just putting this here in respect to the risk of snow showers for our region, we won't do as well as western areas but hopefully some will recieve a dusting.

I must be lucky as I started-out on BBC 'Slowatch', back around New Year 2003, when 'Big Joe B' was wittering on about a 'mini Ice-Age', as is his wont...taught me a lesson did that: just because some twonk promises you the world (a tad like Brexit?) it doesn't make it any more likely to happen...:D

The MOD is such a state at the moment, so many posts based on personal opinion rather than what's being shown in the charts.

Yup that's why it has become a joke, it should be moved to the lounge where it belongs lol

Were you there when the BBC's software (for reasons only known unto itself) changed Glen Wrench's name to 'Glennys'? That was funny!

Am I missing something ? BBC have shown nothing snow wise for my ends ... just cold with sunshine , tbh I don’t see why ppl hype up December any more ... more late jan - feb is our better chances

2010 added to the hype of December, along with snowy Christmas films and cards. Snow before Christmas is very rare.

Feb on record ( I think ) has been more beneficial.

I too was on the BBC snow watch board! Was it Bill Farkin that keep banging on about the grebes? Pretty sure it was

Then there was the "Will it snow in Carlisle" fella and MrCrazySnowFan from Looootttonnnss!

Back to the weather, I can't get excited about this weekend at all. We seem to be instore for cold rain now and not snow of the mod thread is to be believed. Cold and wet just doesn't float my boat :sorry:
