Cor blimey guvnor, nearly got hit by a rattle in the mad thread, when will they learn,if it can go belly up,it will go belly up,thing that annoys me though is all the bitterness in there, most getting the hump because they might miss a snowflake, never mind the fact that most on this thread haven't seen any meaningful snow for nearly 5 years, obviously forgotten that places above the m4 have had snow more than once this winter alone

Just saw your post in the mod thread :)

Sunday night into Monday? Hoping for enough to have Monday off work! (Wishful thinking but it keeps me happy)

That chart is 00z Monday 5th Feb, very nice chart, that should be all snow inland.

Sunday also has an occlusion passing through all our region I’m unsure whether it will decay but that also looks very intresting to me. And yep!

I bought a snow shovel in 2011. Let’s hope I get to use it for the first time in almost 7 years ?

I used mine before Christmas and it snapped in straight away?

That’s a new occlusion, it wasn’t on earlier  fax charts. The other feature on Monday is very interesting!

Sunday night into Monday looks very interesting I think it would cause disruption across SE quadrant.

I think I’m more hopeful than usual after yesterday evenings flakes. There was nothing forecast and yes it rained before and after but still, snow and more culmatively so far this winter than I’ve had in years. Sure we’re going to all get pasted the next few days  :yahoo:

Thames streamers dont produce for many, normally just a very narrow 20 mile or so wide area

Very hit and miss

Feb 2009 wasn’t though? Not seeing it as thing as that, but they can fairly widespread across SE quadrant. Apparently I’m telling ‘porkies’ about a possible Thames streamer.

Latest 12z Euro4 shows showers starting off as rain on Sunday, strange because uppers and dew points seem ok to me, I mean how low do we need uppers to go before we get snow around this way? We have -9c hpa generally in the SE there.:cc_confused:

How dare you! Lol I reckon we could see a streamer. Whether it’s a Thames, Essex, north Kent or east Kent streamer is yet to be seen ?

That feature on Monday isn’t a streamer though, it’s an occlusion moving across the area from the continent and therefore giving snow to more of us.

Streamers usually, if my understanding is correct, form as small trough features dependant on wind flow, uppers etc. and are more localised.

Large parts of Kent into East Sussex will definitely see a streamer it looks the signal is very apparent. Could be long lasting yep 24 hours + on GFS.
