Rain

Unfortunately, being that far west that was meant to be the case.

Heavy? Moderate? Light?

Its light. On and off moderate bursts. No real sign of wintry-ness at the moment though altitude is a saving grace probably.

If this rain freezes over will be hell on the roads tomorrow morn for rush hour.

It will freeze over once it clears, that was included in the MetO warning.

To be fair I don’t think it looks like giving much here in the east either. All looks very very light and breaking up a Wee bit.

Atleast it'll be snow on cold and presumably dry ground.

Neiller it's starting to lye on the grass here  now so if you have a bit of height and dry ground then you should do ok. It is light but.

Plenty cold enough for snow Neiller.  Dew point below zero now.

How long did rain with you first Ronan. Met eireann just updated and it’s gone from a snow band in east to now just flurries. But we will see soon

You still confident of a covering MS.

Yeah just checked due point. That’s good

I was hoping for more than just a covering but it's really struggling to get East a decent frontal system.
