Hello everyone, not sure if anyone will remember me I pop by from time to time and post a fair bit in the winter when something is/was happening I log on to the forums mostly every day but don't post that often anymore. Between 8pm yesterday and 4am this morning, temp was hovering around 3c.
Since 4am, the temp has fallen and is now 0.9c

Finally a decent frost last night with a low of -1.3°C. Nice sunny morning for a change with blue skies. 3.8°C

Interesting look at the ensembles for Dorset. We're currently under +4 to +5 850hPa temps and getting 2m temps of -4 to -5. Next week, the GFS shows 850's circa -5, but minimum temperatures barely scraping zero. Good ol' inversion!

My Kestrel 3000 weather meter just gave up the ghost after 10 years. However, I have just grabbed the bargain of the century!

The 4600 above has been discontinued and superseded by the 5600. But, it was over £700 when it came out. I've just bagged it new for £99.95.
