Haha! I was at the Westgate Mall in Itsu having a cheeky rice box!

Isn't that weird that we could've walked passed each-other and not even known...

Probably did! We went to Westgate too.

Did you go to Uniqlo?  Or John Lewis? Westgate Mall though, after this trip I think I've decided that I'm only going to go there when it's not 1 degree! It's too cold for outdoor shopping centres

It's a Japanese restaturant but kind of feels 'Pret-a-Manger-esque'! You pick up your food and drinks from fridges on the way to the counter where you pay but we ordered some hot rice boxes, but they only took about 10 seconds to be ready. Really tasty too, I would reccomend.

If this temperature drop can keep going it's going to be a very decent minimum tomorrow morning.

Good morning everyone.  It's pretty nippy down here this morning.  -2.5c here in Exmouth (with gentle off shore drift assisting) and -3c around Exeter and -5.8c in Yeovilton and several spots near the Devon /Somerset border around -6c right now (0730).

In fact the south west is the coldest part of the country.

Lowest min temps in GB.

tempresult_cip0.gif

The 24 hour gif shows the lowest temps become restricted to our region as the surface cold slowly slips away south westwards..

Not surprising as the HP is centred right over us (in further west locations).

tempresult_vzo5.gif

The 24 hour gif shows that the HP has been slowly declining but is extremely slow moving.  The less cold air is moving in to most of the UK but should hang on here for a little longer giving many of us (further south west - west Somerset/Dorset westwards) a crisp, cold and sunny day and almost calm - so wonderful walking weather. Cloudier further north-east. It may start off frosty this evening depending upon whether the HP can hang around but if it slips further south then we'll join the rest of the country in the less cold air.  Fine margins today and tonight.

We may see something similar mid week. I remain very bullish about the impacts from the SSW (as per my last few main posts on the MOD) from mid month and I expect to be on here regularly during the next 6 weeks or so.  Right on with my next MOD post for later today.  David
