It's got to be the direction combined with the strength of the wind, coupled with the weight of the plant being in full leaf. It's very rare we get northeasterlies of this strength at this time of year. It's withstood plenty of westerly gales at this time of year but those push it up against the fence not off it from behind. Hopefully the wind will abate soon and we can reattach it.

Sunny for much of the day, getting up to 13.1°C at: 15:03.. felt much colder in the strong NE'ly. Winds turning gradually lighter as the evening goes on, so a frost looks likely. And I thought the plants had suffered enough with the wind..!

Was 7.9c at midnight, got down to a low of 4.3c at 6am.
Bright sunshine now, 8c. NE wind has dropped to 3-7mph.

The wind was gusty yesterday, but never got above a 30mph gust.
Forecasts had us through the day for 30-42mph gusts, so were not too far off the mark.
Quite odd to have the gusty wind from a Northerly direction. Noticed a few things that were leaning slightly that never do when the normal stronger wind spells we get from the SW.

Low of 2.3°C last night. Blue skies now and a lighter breeze than yesterday so feeling slightly warmer even if the temperature isn’t any higher. 11.7°C

Temperature slowly on the climb today after yesterdays' brief chill, peaking at 15.9°C at: 13:22, with some patchy cloud, and a lighter breeze from the east this morning and seeming swinging around to an on shore after midday. Seems like it's going to be dry again for a while, so plant watering is going to be the norm again very shortly, just let the cooler air lift a tad more so I can water in the evening..

If it wasn’t for the wind it would’ve been a decent end to the afternoon and early evening as it’s been sunny for the last couple of hours. 12.3°C

Now 9c, a little breezy in 12mph winds and 15-20mph gusts.
Looks like one last day of the NE wind and back to a SW direction and warmer overnight and early morning temps, just in time to get the French and Runner bean seedlings out..
