Morning All, a breezy start to the day, with some drizzle around. Waiting for the Inbound rain to start...but...at least it's warm! Hardly any change in temperatures overnight to now, currently 11.6°C, after an overnight low of 11.2°C at: 00:49

Somewhat choppy out in the English Channel

Very mild overnight - the mildest in a long time. Breezy with fast moving clouds this morning and intermittent spots of rain. Being southerly, it's not too gusty yet, but I'd expect that to change if the wind veers more westerly.

Very wet, heavy rain. We are under an Amber warning and it is flooding outside and around the the house and halfway up the back garden.

6.6mm of rain this morning. Temp managed 12.9°C.

Breezy for much of the day, but the winds haven't been anywhere near what were forecast for here. Each hour that goes by, the forecast lowers the gust speed. That's been a common occurrence this year.

I emptied 19mm out of my gauge half an hour ago. There’s now another 10mm in it !!!!! Hail in the downpours too so that’s been fun to watch.

Bit of rain here, just as I was stepping out into the garden. Hopefully done for a bit now.

A seriously intense hailstorm just passed through (about 30mins ago.)

it was INSANE! Direct over head lighting and a big clap of thunder, everything went white.

Very unexpected!

Looking at the Radar it was from that squall line moving through. Cool stuff.

We were just along the coast from you earlier. The showers stayed out at sea around Highcliffe.

Plenty of sunshine today, reached 10.5°C at: 12:28, currently 9.1°C

Looks like more rain tomorrow though, perhaps something frosty/seasonal for Christmas, which would be nice...

Very mild today and cloudy although brighter bits at times. Currently 13.9C after 12.6mm overnight bringing the monthly total to 113mm (the heaviest rain on Friday stayed to the west).

In contrast, this was 10 years ago yesterday!

We got lucky and had more than expected, it turned to rain or a wintry mix near the coast from Dawlish southwards.

Met Office Yellow warning issued for Weds/Thurs:

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for rain across the county between 6am on Wednesday and 6am on Thursday.

Anyone travelling via public transport is warned that there is a chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services due to flooding.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Spells of heavy rain are expected across southern England and parts of south Wales during Wednesday and into early Thursday.
"The heaviest rain is likely to develop during Wednesday evening and continue overnight before clearing away to the southeast by Thursday morning. "Much of the area is likely to see 20-40 mm through this period. There is still some uncertainty in exactly where the heaviest rain will fall but there is the potential for some places to see as much as 50-70 mm of rain.

"The heavy rain will be accompanied by strong north to north-easterly winds during Wednesday evening and overnight."

And yet the met office class a flake of snow falling but nothing on the ground as a white Christmas lol. We had scenes just like that here on Christmas day that year, absolutely gorgeous Christmas card scene greeted me upon opening the curtains but because we had  clear blue skies & no snow falling it wasn't a white Christmas officially!
