Yellow warning of snow & ice affecting Wales

Between 12:00 (UTC) on Wed 18 Jan 2023 and 12:00 (UTC) on Thu 19 Jan 2023

Showers will affect the warning area, these falling as a mix of rain and hail near coasts, and sleet and snow inland at times, mainly overnight. This will lead to some temporary snow accumulations at low levels, whilst higher ground of Northern Ireland and Wales in particular, could see a further 2-5 cm of snow. For most parts of the warning area, however, ice will be the main hazard.

looks quiet over your way on radar at the moment - but all of Wales is under a warning for more snow over the next 24 hours - update - however more showers seem to be appearing over west Wales now

Think this will be the last of the snow here today. The area of instability is moving away and the shower activity vanishing with it slowly but surely behind it.

Fun whilst it lasted and nice to see the forecast spot on for here near Aberdare

A perfect time to get out into the hills and grab some pics esp tomorrow with the sun out

Zoomed in and out. We hit this one perfectly

It was a sensor prob - gonna be fixed next week as part has to be ordered - it's losing power especially on motorway driving intermittently, really dangerous on the wrong roads lol - was on the m25 last week and it happened, not the place for power acceleration problems

still snowing heavily here

Most the snow has gone now after all the sleety ice rain where im working in Cowbridge, I'd imagine it'll be the same in Barry but was lovely to see.

The A48 - Bonvilston and St Nicolas have a cm or so of snow around, being they are around 100m abl, which was lovely to see all whilte while driving through.

Finally got some sort of snow fix this winter lol yipee!

reading the article met think the milder weather will return over the weekend - for us in Wales anyway - but the south east England will hold onto the cold - However - looking into next week for eg - still looking decidedly not warm - average temps for my neck of the woods, PONTYPRIDD, around 5/6c

RADAR is looking busy again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a high of 3.7C today, currently 3.6C which is a lot less than the 6-7C we were suppose to be today!
