looks like south wales is in the firing line again early tomorrow morning too on latest gfs 00z

2.5C and raining. Looks like I may have a chance of some snow in the morning, if temps on the coast can stay low enough. 

 

Im travelling to Manchester on Friday morning so hope Thursdays snow in Mindlands doesn't make it difficult and is gone by Friday.

Looking at the 0z GFS it gives SE Wales around 12 plus hours of snowfall tomorrow from 5am through until evening. I think with elevation of 150m we could see a few cms sticking

Looking across to Senghenydd mountain 300m plus there's snow on them there hills lol

Snow on the hills up by me too in Aberdare. The sky looks quite full of snow Andy.

Not so far at the very western tip, as far as I can see through the cloud. The council hasn’t yet gritted the road in the village, but I expect that they did the mountain road overnight.

Too warm here at the minute and the hills are also not white round here so will be looking towards Wednesday

Had my wish granted - a slight flurry of very tiny flakes in bright sunshine this morning. As they say, 'Count your blessings!' Just hope Thursday's snow/sleet will stick to the 'timetable' and not make a dash much earlier as I'm going to see 'The King and I' musical in Llandudno Wednesday evening. Travelling on coastal roads, I'm not too concerned atm but one never knows what the weather gods have in mind!?

I'm working in Cardiff again today but keep looking at the camera back home checking for snow. Sure I just saw a polar bear and a couple of penguins wandering about the back lane.....

Hope your right with the thursday. I see there’s a yellow warning out for us.. just wondering will  the temps be too warm where we are for settling snow though??

Heavier Precipation Thursday driving dewpoints down no problem.Tonight -Tommorow snow maybe to light to stick at sea level.Still think met are playing down the amount of snow need heavy pp .

this is one of those nowcast situations - where we wont know the exact sweetspots until the low actually gets here and we see the trajectory.  All exciting stuff lol

Temps are going to have to drop for the white stuff to fall later. Very pleasant outside in the sun right now. Feels Warmer than it was yesterday.

Wowwwzers, would bank that. ECM short range is lower res than others though no? Hoping everyone in Wales, north and south, low and high, get something at some point this week!

Seems that because precipition is light tommorow morning dew points won't be low enough for snow for low ground of south Wales,          Wednesday  late afternoon heavier Precipation moves across South Wales driving dew point down so heavy snow possible.Knife edge stuff lol
