Yep, thaw is setting in. Pretty much sleet here now. Still imagine the snow hanging around for the day though, so much better for many of us than what winter proper brought! Fingers crossed for more southerly corrections through today and tomorrow, but otherwise good luck to those up north! 😄

Heavy snow that wasn’t settling in Oswestry at 10:00am.  Light but persistent snow and settling in Glyn.

Still going good in Rhoose which im surprised at being its proximity to the coast. Still all snow, maybe some ice rain in there hard to tell.

Meto warning for tomorrow has been updated and now includes S/E wales and parts of S/W England so we could still be in with a chance tomorrow if the colder air can fight back more! 2-4cm possible on low levels and 5-10cm higher up.

As mentioned earlier snow heads south Friday.

Snowing heavily in Rhayader, settling on vegetation, but not roads. Seems surface temperatures just a little high.

That’s what shows on my weather app….but on the radar it looks like it’s all clearing away…can’t see anything behind either 🤷‍♂️

Easy Come, Easy Go

4 inches of snow melting away now, snow falling has now turned to rain.

If only it were a month or 2 earlier.

Coming down heavy again! Hopefully most of us in the south can squeeze a few more hours of snow out before the rest of wales get their dumping

Your area is my favourite in the whole of wales with weather like this - everywhere you look is stunning. The amount of times I’ve driven up to Elan for it is borderline unnecessary

Raining down here now. Would happily see nothing until any heavier stuff comes through, but still can't complain 🙂

Andy must be out there living his best life right now.

Sat inside his igloo, munching through all the food he stocked up on.

Has been snowing lightly here for a few hours, nothing settling so far.

Will be interesting to see what happens here over the next couple of days, seeing conflicting forecasts for low level north wales, some forecasts stating it will mainly be rain/sleet for lower levels, fingers crossed for snow though.

Didn't most of us do well last night lol. Definite thaw setting in now, as temperatures are above freezing and precipitation is very light. Hopefully us in South Wales will get more later as heavier precipitation moves in.

Must say great event for a lot of us in S Wales. Nice to see snow and in Cardiff because it hasn’t settled on roads most can on with their day.

Potential for more over the next 36hours but more risk of it being wet as conditions will be marginal.

Tell me about it! 😉Just hope it won't scupper my trip to Llandudno theatre tonight. Just in case, i paid a couple of quid extra for a full refund if i can't make it due to weather conditions. Very light snow here on and off all morning but in no way enough to settle. Enjoyed a wonderful moon halo last night on my late dog walk with the moonlight being filtered through a layer of see through cirrostratus clouds.😃
