Yes thats always the issue. The Moors often gobbles the showers and the likes of Malton, Stamford Bridge/ Pock are left with scraps. We may be slightly too far inland but i wont throw in towel until tomorrow morning.

And I may be ‘across the hill, and to the east’ from Wold Topper! May be quite localised some of these showers. Currently 1° at home, with a dew point of -0.9

Closer the coast the better really apart from right on coast. 66m elevation should be fine especially later in night/early morning.

It is a tease, as that cloud moved away from us as it reached land!

Winds to switch more northerly in next few hours so should help bring them showers closer to land. My weather station at Kirby Grindalythe close to East Yorkshire border currently -1.1c with dew -1.9c so condiions ripe if any showers say ey up.

1.20am & we have a frost already, -0.3c on the gauge…no snow as such yet tho.

A disappointing morning with showers affecting Newcastle area but never really making it down towards the Yorkshire Coast. A dusting in the Whitby/Scarborough/Filey area but nothing to write home about. Some more showers moving down the North Sea now perhaps making better roads inland but the North Yorkshire snow shield still in full force.

Bloody northerly’s knew nothing would happen, need a BFTE for my part of Yorkshire haha or that low pressure to play ball on Thursday

Impressive ….I was doubtful if we just had a hard frost, but maybe we have had a light dusting, whatever was left after it had been at yours Mike
