Ties in with the latest EC46 released on Thursday ...... hopefully we see at least one spell of cold wintry weather before Spring arrives.

Unfortunately the latest ME monthly update is not so good.

10 pages takes us back to June on here, shows what a boring winter season we’ve had this year with not much of interest on the cards for the foreseeable.

My main concern now is if we do get snow that I’ll have forgotten how to lamppost watch

I am mentally moved to spring mode now, the most meh of winters ever.

Yeah, its been a meh winter.

On the one hand I'm happy about the warmer temperatures because this house is leaking heat like sieve, in the current climate we've used 900l of oil in just over a month and a halve. We really need to get this house insulated but I fear its not going to be a quick process.

On the other hand, I WANT SNOW!

What a boring winter so far. Just imagine this came off. Doubtful but

Decent overnight runs firming up on some Pm, perhaps Am air over the next few weeks. Nothing deep and crisp and even,  but better than the dross we've had this Winter so far.

I think we would take anything at this stage. I was in Iceland over New Year and had no snow for the whole 8 days. Just some on the mountains. Even just 1 snow day as we get in to February would be good.

Took a week off model watching due to the insane boredom of the charts and looked back today... Fingers crossed folks!

What a terrible excuse of a winter this has been. One of the worst I can remember.

A hint of northern lights last night (some great pics from the UK) from south Tipp. The cloud got in the way a bit, but the green and red glow was still faintly visible, but required a long exposure to see.

That is one wild day. Made a huge mistake of wearing shorts to my son's game this morning.... Still haven't warmed up.

Wee surprise snow fall this morning, very very slight covering here. Haven’t been paying attention to the charts or the forecasts nor do I have the inclination to at the minute, lost interest this year

I was up through the sperrins from dungiven to Enniskillen this morning and back this evening and saw a drop of snow. Higher hills looked to be better covered we were doing some slipping and sliding in the van.

Nasty looking storm on the way for Thursday/Friday by the looks of things.
