I sit here (near Epsom), with my weather station saying it's 8.7c outside and set to stay around 9c all night until it drops to 4c at 1pm tomorrow and 2c by 4pm with sleet! And heavy snow Sat morning! Possible change to rain midday though but let's wait and see!!x

The accumulations will be for areas N of London

Its the same in the midlands!!west midlands 10 degrees!!east midlands 1 degree!!

Hmm another south adjustment from AROME 18z which now includes more northern parts of capital and more of Essex. Some laying snow on North Downs seems to be firming up.

Don't know if it's right for everywhere but it's no where near 7 here, unless the temp has just shot up in the last half hour, which of course is possible if the fronts come over, but it hasn't looked like doing so. I'll check now.

Interesting ICON model showing a few hours of heavy snow for many in the SE on 14th Jan (Remember: This is subject to change!!)

Like some others have said, impressed temperature gradients across the region this evening!

Currently 4.9c here in Folkestone and 10c in Rye.

Sleety rain on and off here in Norfolk, feeling cold at 2c. feeling positive about possibly flakes tomorrow and maybe even a dusting on Saturday!

I think it would feel quite weird, like walking from a normal temp into a cold room, only other way you'd be able to walk between those temps. Except you're outside, and wouldn't expect it. It would definitely be noticeable though.

No sleet here yet, to far South most likely.
