Glad to see a lot of the region is enjoying snow this morning including myself,  a lot more precip than most models were showing, a nice surprise. A small covering on all surfaces here too.

Is the band of snow even moving? Likely to be a fair bit of accumulation still.

Not quite as bone dry as what the cold spell might have appeared at first. Shows how surprises can happen

Starting to see a few snowflakes invade the area again. Probably more to come for a number of us.

Re my post above I have checked the phones Radar again, and there is defo a circulation setting up. with easterlies of the NE coast (which has  turned the showers to snow even at sea recently) getting stronger,  and south westerlies coming up the Bristol Channel and northerlies off NW Wales. It look as if the circulation is setting up around the north west midlands.

Not sure whether it means too much, but I reported the same in 2010 about 12 hrs before the midlands got around 20cms.

Not worth the bother really reporting it, as it cannot happen twice!

At least England put up a good performance!!

MIA.

Well its answered my question above.... the answer is yes.,,,,,, Perhaps not 20cms,  but it is  still developing slightly.

Snowed from 6:00 this morning. here. About a 1 cm covering.

Stopped for now, but still could be more.

Good to see you guys a bit south of here are in the mix. Could be a 5 cm fall for you guys.

It was the pulse from the Bristol Channel that has moved up over us, which infers the small low did develop just to the north..

More to our south west to move up?.

Temp -0.4C here and no wind.

MIA

looks like some good potential for snow in areas that haven't yet received any yet... 🙂 Already 5cm out of the blue here so don't get your hopes up!

Got about 3 inches here in Evesham now - best snowfall in years (as it's covering everything and not the usual slushfest)
