Looks like it is about to clear here, I wonder if it will now thaw? Everything has a good covering.

Have you got decent snow where tou are because there is nothing here

Grass is starting to get that white colour, but can tell it will instantly lose it when snow loses intensity. Just need a solid moderate spell of snow.

It's more sleet than snow where I am right now.

yep DWW... my DP recording has always been about 2C lower DP, but the actual temp is correct.

I remember that we checked it out last year,  I think its to do with the humidity my recorder shows being wrong, and that the calculation is used for the DP. .

MIA

Yes I do remember that now, your temp and mine is, well give a 0.1 or 2 is spot on 👌

How many times lol this isn't it we have the long wobbly low pressure directly over us, it's past us for now but things will develop now between now and 10pm you can already see another batch developing toward Wilshire and another one in Wales it will all merge together I think, about 70% certain let's see

Was always going to go milder, its the cold coming back in early Friday, but back edge snow is risky/tricky thing away from hills

Interesting ... my home location temp is always the lowest on my car when I have been out . eg   It normally drops 0.5C when I enter my drive.

It is also backed up by the fact that I ended up with a 0.5 cm covering earlier,  when nowhere else in Central Solihull / knowle had any deposits.

Also my official local recording station which is about 400 yards away also has the same temps as mine.

I live in a slight dip, and I think it acts as a small frost hollow  at night, and if no sun then it persists during the day to some extent.

Finally sticking a bit now, might eek out a couple of cm if there's anything left in the 2nd band when it arrives, shame it didn't stick earlier! I just hope whatever is falling in the morning is still snow at 8 AM, don't fancy walking the kids to school in icy rain...

Pretty much stopped about 4 but started again, Starting to stick on the pavement now, grass and roofs and cars are dusted nicely. Just main roads and some paths to go. Smaller flakes as some have said but plenty of them.

Not above 1C here either today, and dewpoint I'm sure not above 0 (was always quite dry snow and never close to sleety). Really find it hard to understand why so little settling earlier in those conditions, been no sun today at all

The precipitation east of us on the radar with the easterly winds and energy is pepping up our precipitation over us….I’ve seen this set up so many times in the past 👌
