Are we paddling yet?

Looking a tad wet to finish the year out..

Stats wise, well a low of 9.3°C at: 01:07 has risen to 11.6°C, RH96% with a 15moh breeze in from the SW, with 3.6mm of rain so far today.

The view out over the channel looking grim this morning.

Agreed, the MetO are suggesting HEAVY rainfall for many hours, even in the micro-climate of Wareham, it's just over 10mm, when is that HEAVY, doh! 

A quick radar check is even suggesting another possible surge later for the SW.

Definitely a lot of rain here, it's been pretty much non-stop since early morning.

Happy wet new year all and may 2023 finaly bring most of our region some proper snow.. 

Couple of channel lows, is that too much to ask for.

Same here BUT yesterday still packed more rainfall, today a mere 10.6mm of rain, aint nothing needed for a MetO warning that!

In fact looking at the current radar, it might suggest that's the rainfall for 2022 finished.

I think the last two weeks have been the most grotesque of the entire year. Shame to finish the year on such a grotty note, but hey ho. January can only really get better tbh.

Wet and windy all day. Reached 12.6°C 

At least it's finally stopped raining in time for tonight, not that I'm going outside. Now for some drier weather to start the new year although debatable as to whether it'll last more than a couple of days.

This has been a ridiculous month of practically exactly two halves!

The mean in my location for the 1st-16th is 0.10c ! Rainfall (actually snowfall) 8.5mm .

The mean for the 17th-31st is provisionally 7.52c! Rainfall 186.5mm!
