Didn't expect the snow to get this far south but here it is! Sticking on cars and fences at the moment, +0.7°C but -0.3°C down on the grass.

Expecting a sl;ight overall covering soon but... when it stops, will it last the morning? That is the question. EDIT: rain gauge shows no rain falling so it must be clogged with snow!

From the radar, it looks like the really intense precipitation is about to start in the next half hour.

It's been snowing here in Thornbury for the last couple of hours and now coming down heavily. It was just settling on cars and roof tops but now roads and pavements getting covered. All starting to look rather lovely.

How long until it turns to rain once that sun rises? 

No idea whats going to happen now as my met app says light rain from 8am and sky weather just showed no ppn now until heavey snow tonight but it looks out of date.

Winter wonderland here in Shaftesbury with around 8cms level on the dustbin and on the windows, currently -0.1c snowing lightly and windy. Great start to the day

Tonights heavy snow fall seems to have evaporated or should I say melted away on models so enjoy the little snow you may have now it wont last long.

Very little to show for here in Wallingford, seems to have lost its intensity really on approach. That saying, I feel our region may benefit more from this evenings action.

I would have thought it will turn to rain fairly quickly.

glad so many have got snow even down south which is great for snow lovers.

how about 3 cm here at the moment snowing steadily with small to moderate flakes

really hoping it lasts until I get back from Downton later today I just want to get a couple of sledge runs in with my lad
