Been a usable day today. Little sunshine, but dry to get all the washing done and on the line.

Now a case of batten down the hatches for tomorrow’s fun and games.

Car's stuck at the garage, so we walked to Salisbury today under cloudy skies. Got the bus back. Cloud. Lit the BBQ. Cloud.

Sat down to eat and the Sun came out. Will take that.

Not useable for me. Been in bed all day after being up half the night with sick and diarrhea. Yuck!

I know!! I'm not convinced it's a bug this time as I've not been out since Tuesday. Most likely something I've eaten. I'll get up tomorrow afternoon as I have decorating to start. I don't feel too bad now it's all out. Just tired from being up all night

That doesn't sound good Beka , do you need a Dr in  case it's a condition rather than a bug ?

Had quite a downgrade in last few hours for wind speeds.
Was for many 40+ mph speeds from now until 8 pm. Now just a few 37-39 for early evening.

Light grey cloud, a few light showers from 8am, 3mm.
Drizzly now, SSW wind 10mph, 16 mph gusts, 15.5c

Damp but not overly wet or windy yet. Not a patch on the middle two weekends of July.

Hmm you have to think the MetO might have picked the wrong one to name🤔

The pressure hasn't dropped as low as forecasted, so I wonder what the pressure gradient will be on the trailing edge, it also looks fairly dry on the trailing edge with not too much wrap around of the rain.

What a rubbish summer day!  Been mainly light rain all morning, but a really heavy spell of rain past  through in past hour bumping up the rain total.

Looks like  clearance coming from North West soon though, 🤞WeatherScreenshot2023-08-05130013.thumb.jpg.9b184536f755f70f7d927692a1b5d734.jpg

Absolutely tonking it down.  Gutters are overflowing.

Still carless, so had to pick a dry hour midmorning to walk for supplies (beer).

Might need to get the ladders out.

I've just been sent up there to clear the moss out.

Might get another test shortly.

Still very little wind but just had a torrential downpour and I’m sure there was a distant rumble of thunder among the pouring noise.
