Dull start to the day, temp 13C

Dark and damp. Temp 14.7°C

I expected it to be windier today, but it isn't as windy as yesterday or the day before, despite forecasts showing higher wind speeds for today.

Still light rain down here, but something a little heavier is not too far away now.

Also of note the sea temperature around here has lost the +1C over average figure and is currently

Welcome to hump day!! 

 

Well it seems to be brewing regards to Babet it was a dark murky ride this morning although dry and not as cool as recently.

As you say its not that windy really, maybe it'll pick up a tad?

Not very nice today, but the rain hasn't been that heavy.

Got to head down Fawley way after work, so we might grab some fish and chips, then scoff them watching the waves at Calshot.

Well its now very wet up here in the frozen north of the area, glad im WFH for the rest of the week....

 

@jtayI rode the cycling track at calshot many years ago no idea if its still there.

Still there. 

We used to ski on the dry slope on a Thursday after school and play 5 aside in the hangers.

Quite a set up they have really.

The wind is just beginning to shift to the north suggesting we are in the eye of Babet at the moment, which does have some heavy spells of rain within it.

I got caught at the end of my walk, but that's OK. Plenty of fleeting showers around at the moment.

Morning All, a damp start with some early showers and a recent shower adding 2.2mm to the monthly total. The overnight low of 13.5°C at: 00:00 has eased up to 16.1°C, RH94% with an 8mph breeze in from the S.

What is your monthly total so far?

I'm interested as you always seem drier that the rest of us.

There is now! Seem to all bubbled up over Southampton this morning

This linear showery set up is providing a lot of rain and, due to the its lower position in the sky, a lot of sun at the same time!

In the work office today and annoyingly couldn't go for my lunchtime stroll as thats when a showerband decided to move through, double annoying as it looks like it was mainly dry at home...

That batch of downpours just passed here and was torrential at times! Sun back out now.

After what was looking like an interesting period of weather here, has now turned in to a bore. High resolution models were exceptionally bad in terms of rainfall.

In other news, just had the planning application approved for change of use for the new bit of field from agri to garden use, so no excuses now.
